This class provides CPR instruction for parents, grandparents and babysitters of infant and toddlers. Topics include accident prevention techniques, treatment of infant/child choking, and how to handle other emergencies.

 CPR Classes in the Spanish language are also available.

This class is designed especially for the family that has been advised to anticipate a cesarean birth. This class prepares families for what to expect for their special delivery.

  • Boot Camp For Dads

A unique workshop designed to help new dads answer questions and concerns before their baby arrives. Boot Camp veterans return with their 2-3 month old babies and show soon-to-be dads the ropes. A strong bond quickly develops between these men and peaks when the “vets” hand their babies to the expectant dads.

This class is offered once a month on a Saturday.

This class is designed for expectant parents who have made a decision to breastfeed and need the knowledge and skills necessary for a successful experience.

  • Childbirth Preparation - One Day

This 3-hour class is designed for the parent on the go. It prepares the parent with hands-on learning. Parents will learn:

  • Comfort measures in labor
  • Breathing and relaxation techniques
  • Role of the support person
  • Parents will go home with a Childbirth Class on DVD which includes the lecture portion

This weeknight series prepares expectant parents for the birth process and parenting skills. Parents will learn; what to expect during childbirth, comfort and breathing techniques, pain management, postpartum issues, parenting.

Become acquainted with our Women’s Center. You will be introduced to our labor, delivery, recovery rooms and postpartum suites and learn about the many services available. Tours are offered weekly, but you must register in order to participate.

Tours in the Spanish language are also available.

English Tour offered every Wednesday Evening 7pm-8:30pm and last Saturday of the month 9am-10:30am. Spanish Tour offered twice a month. Call for details.

Children, three to six years of age, are prepared for their first meeting with their new baby in the hospital and learn to help care for him/her at home. Designed for one parent to be in attendance.

Designed to help parents get ready for the new baby experience. It includes: car seat safety, breastfeeding basics, baby care, bathing, diapering, and the Happiest Baby. The Happiest Baby new parents how to learn how to calm and soothe a baby. Every parent will go home with a parent kit which includes (The Happiest Baby on the Block DVD and Soothing Sounds CD) a $40 retail value.
Class is offered on Saturdays 9am-4pm with a lunch break or two weeknight classes.

This fast-paced class is designed for parents who are unable to attend the five-week class series or those needing a refresher course. This weekend version of our regular Childbirth Preparation Class emphasizes the labor and birth process. This class is offered on weekends as a two day session.

  • Safe Sitter Chino Hills

This two day class has received national recognition by the American Academy of Pedicatrics. The small class size and interactive learning environment includes: role-playing, games, childcare, age appropriate activities and setting up a babysitting business. Students get hands-on practice in basic lifesaving techniques. Class includes babysitting kit and workbook. First Day 9am-2pm Second Day 9am-noon.

Pomona Police Department officers will teach you how to safely and properly install your child's car seat.

  • Safe Sitter Baby Sitting Class

Our Babsysitting class teaches 11 to 14 year old Boys and Girls safe babysitting techniques. Students get hands on practice in basic lifesaving techniques, child development and age-appropriate activities.

Parents must sign student in and out both days. Please remember to bring a sack lunch on the second day. The first day hours are 9am to 12pm – Second Day Hours 9am-2pm.  Students must be picked up promptly at the end of each class. 

 

Includes CPR completion card, babysitting kit and workbook
