Here at the award-winning Stead Heart and Vascular Center, we are proactively looking for new ways to increase awareness and education through our women's heart program. With the support of hospital administration, the heart center and other hospital service lines developed a women's heart program in 2003.
Stead Heart for Women™ offers information on risk factors, lifestyle modification, diet and exercise, as well as support to women in our community. Supported by an expert team of physicians, nurses and staff, the program has continuously grown since its inception. The mission of the program is to educate women and increase awareness of the dangers of heart disease and stroke. Our vision is to establish a foundation of heart and vascular disease prevention and management resulting in quality and longevity of life for women in the communities we serve.
