Imaging
ultrasound is used to directly view and assess the abdominal aorta, superior
mesenteric artery, celiac axis, renal arteries and arteries in the kidney
(segmental and cortex arcuate arteries).
This information helps the interpreting physician obtain the overall
understanding of any underlying causes of unresolved (malignant) hypertension.
Indications for this exam: Malignant hypertension.
