
Diagnostic Testing
Arterial Duplex Exam (Bypass Grafts, Stents, Abnormal ABI's)
This exam is performed with imaging ultrasound in order to
directly observe the arterial vessel lumen and any related plaque that may have
developed. It is used when skin
conditions do not allow pressure cuffs to be utilized, or patients cannot
tolerate the plethysmography exam, and abnormal ABI’s have been obtained.
Indications for this exam include: Bypass grafts, stents, and
reasons indicated above.
