Our Urgent Care Center in the Pomona Valley Health Center at Crossroads provides high quality, convenient, cost effective healthcare services for families and employers in the Inland Empire. Our Urgent Care Center's affiliation with Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center gives you a link to the hospital's network of diagnostic and treatment services as well as its panel of physician specialists.

Our Urgent Care Center has extended hours of service to accommodate you and your busy schedule. NO APPOINTMENT is even necessary. Our hours of services are:

  • 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday
  • 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. weekends and holidays

The Urgent Care Center at Pomona Valley Health Center at Crossroads provides convenient access to medical care for illnesses and injuries that often occur unexpectedly. We're here to lend a helping hand at those critical times. Afterhours care is referred to Pomona Valley Hospital's emergency room walk-in clinic (Secure Care). Secure Care is located at Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center's Emergency Department at 1798 N. Garey Avenue Pomona, California (909) 865-9500.


We are contracted with many of the major medical groups (IPAs) in the area to provide after-hours care for their HMO patients when the patient's primary care physician is unavailable. We are also contracted with most major private insurance plans. When you come in or call, our staff will gladly contact your Primary Care Physician to assist you in obtaining authorization for medical treatment. Some common illnesses and injuries treated are:
asthma, colds and flu, children's illnesses, infections, burns, rashes, allergies, sprains, fractures, sports injuries, bites, stings, migraine headaches, etc...

Saman Aboudi, M.D.
Saman Aboudi, M.D. is an Urgent Care staff physician at Pomona Valley Health Center at the Crossroads. Board certified in Family Medicine. He is a faculty member in the UCLA-affiliated Family Medicine Residency Program at Pomona Valley Hospital, the only teaching hospital in the region. Dr. Aboudi graduated from UCLA in 1998 with a degree in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics in addition to working at UCLA Bone Lab from 1998-99. He earned a master degree in Applied Physiology in 2000 from the Chicago Medical School and his medial degree in 2004. After completing his internship in surgery at Mount Sinai in Chicago in 2005, he joined the Family Residency program at Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center and where he graduated in 2008. In addition to working in the Urgent Care, Dr. Aboudi also specializes in Sports Medicine and Occupational Medicine providing treatment for work-related injuries.

Carlos A. Baez, M.D.,

Carlos A. Baez, M.D. is Medical Director of our Urgent Care Centers and Occupational Medicine Program at Pomona Valley Health Centers. He is board certified in Family Medicine and a faculty member in the UCLA-affiliated Family Practice Residency Program at Pomona Valley Hospital. He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania/Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Los Angeles. In addition to his duties as Medical Director, Dr. Baez is a practicing Family Medicine physician in our Chino Hills location and our Sports Medicine Center. He is also involved in community outreach programs with special emphasis on childhood obesity. He is married and has four children.

Ashish Bhalla, M.D.,

Ashish Bhalla, M.D. is board certified in Family Medicine and a faculty member in the UCLA-affiliated Family Medicine Residency Program at Pomona Valley Hospital. He earned his medical degree as well as completing his undergraduate studies at Amritsar Medical College in India. In addition to working in the Urgent Care, Dr. Bhalla also specializes in Occupational Medicine providing treatment for work-related injuries.
