Occupational Therapy

The goal of occupational therapy (OT) is to help patients lead active, independent, and productive lives by improving their ability to develop, recover, or safely maintain activities of daily living. Utilizing a variety of methods and adaptive equipment, our licensed occupational therapists evaluate and provide treatment plans that focus on controlling pain, swelling, and abnormal sensitivity, as well as restoring the strength, mobility, coordination, and functional performance for a wide range of age groups and diagnoses addressed through several specialized OT programs, including Hand & Wrist, Stroke, Pediatric OT, and Low Vision.

Pediatric outpatient OT is offered at our Milestones Center for Child Development. Adult outpatient OT is provided at PVHMC in the Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Department. In addition to outpatient services, our occupational therapists also treat children and adults on the inpatient floors of PVHMC.
