Introduction

As an Accredited Member of the American Sleep Disorders Association for more than twenty years, our comprehensive, multidisciplinary sleep center offers a wide range of testing procedures with reference to your needs as determined by your sleep specialist.

The Sleep Disorders Center's expert staff includes Board-certified internal medicine physicians, pulmonary physicians, neurologists, pediatricians, psychologists, and dentists. These experienced specialists work closely with the patient and his or her family to design and implement the most comprehensive and effective course of care possible. Our staff also includes 8 registered sleep technicians with 3 technicians dual certified in respiratory therapy.

The Center provides both in-Center and at-home sleep study services for the diagnosis and monitoring of sleep-related disorders. An in-Center sleep study involves an overnight stay in one of our comfortable, specially equipped patient rooms. The patient is closely monitored during the night and discharged early the next day. Our Center offers select comfort queen beds, satellite flat screen tv’s, bathroom/shower in every room, and individual room temperature controls. We also offer a free, at-home sleep apnea screening program for patients who have been referred to the Center by a physician.

In addition to comprehensive diagnostic services, PVHMC's Sleep Disorders Centers offer the most advanced treatment modalities available. Treatment for sleep disorders may include drug therapy, the use of dental prostheses, Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) or surgery, among other procedures and therapies. We also have sleep disorder support groups that provide ongoing emotional support and educational services for patients and their families.
