Knowing what to expect from chemotherapy helps you cope with the challenges it brings. This class covers general side-effects of chemotherapy and ways to deal with them, when to call the doctor or nurse, nutritional issues and dealing with fatigue. For kids' ages 7-17, whose parent and/or loved one has cancer. Guided by a Licenced therapist, hands-on techniques will be used to provide understanding and coping skills during this stressful time in their lives. Dinner provided. Support for people with leukemia, Hodgkins disease, non-Hodgkins lymphoma and myeloma. Share your unique concerns and feelings. Lunch provided. Meets the first Wednesday of every month at noon in the Professional Library.
Living in the Here and Now
Emotional support group to assist cancer patients, their families and friends in coping with the disease. Group led by our Nurse Educator. Meets every Thursday at 10:00 am in the Professional Library. Pomona Valley Ostomy Association
