Congratulations to you and your family on the birth of your baby!

Breastfeeding your baby can be a rewarding experience. Studies show that breastfeeding is the best nutrition for your baby and provides nurturing needs. In addition, it offers health benefits that are extremely important to infant growth and development.

Most women are able to successfully breastfeed soon after delivery. For some women initial assistance may be needed to get off to the right start. Nursing is a learned skill for both mother and infant, requiring both time and patience. Enjoy this remarkable time with your baby!

At Pomona Valley Hospital we have lactation support services to help the new mother.

LACTATION CONSULTANT

Our lactation consultant (breastfeeding expert) is available Monday thru Saturday to answer questions about breastfeeding. A Lactation Consultant will visit your postpartum room during your stay to assist with breastfeeding and lend support.

Our Breastfeeding class is recommend in your 7th month.
