OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

Occupational Therapists evaluate and treat hand and upper extremity injuries. Focus is on controlling pain, swelling and sensitivity while restoring strength, mobility, coordination and function, especially as it relates to safely performing the routine activities of daily living. Adaptive equipment and custom splinting are often utilized to accomplish this.
