Our
Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) leads other Occupational Therapists
and Physical Therapists in the specialized care of the fingers, hand, wrist,
elbow, or shoulder patient following surgery or an acute injury, cumulative
disorders, arthritis or stroke. Treatment programs address pain, swelling,
sensation, motion and strength. Acupuncture, if desired, is available and
performed by a Certified Acupuncturist on our staff. Modalities and exercise,
including a computerized Baltimore Therapeutic Equipment (BTE) Work
Simulator, as well as custom splinting may be used to maximize
function and restore normal hand and arm use.
