Afterhours care is referred to Pomona Valley Hospital's emergency room walk-in clinic (Secure Care). Secure Care is located at Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center's Emergency Department at 1798 N. Garey Avenue Pomona, California (909) 865-9500. OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH CARE SERVICES Since 1984, Central Avenue Urgent Care Center has become established as a major Industrial Medical Center in the Inland Empire, specializing in the treatment of work related injuries, occupational safety and work site healthcare management. The Urgent Care Center is proactive in helping companies develop and maintain high standards for safety in the work place, injury prevention and cost containment for medical care. Under the managed care system, the Urgent Care Center is credentialed and contracted with all major Managed Care Organizations and Workers' Compensation Insurance Carriers.
The concept of 'continunity of care' is emphasized by the Urgent Care Center's medical staff. Every effort is made by the physicians to follow a Workers' Compensation case from beginning to end. Clinic guidelines ensure that an individual patient is monitored by the same physician throughout the patient's care. Our staff will always contact the employer about the injured employee's status. Urgent Medical Care: The Urgent Care Center provides convenient access to medical care for illnesses and injuries that often occur unexpectedly. We're here to lend a helping hand at those critical times. We are contracted with many of the major medical groups (IPAs) in the area to provide after-hours care for their HMO patients when the patient's primary care physician is unavailable. We are also contracted with most major private insurance plans.
