Patient Care Areas
Take a position dismissing patients and helping visitors with wheelchair
assistance. Must be pleasant and helpful to patients on their way home.
No weekends, no pay but high rewards.
Are you pushy? (In a nice way?) Push the Hospital Gift Cart to bring the
store to the patients and staff. It’s a sweet job and requires you
only once a week.
Mary, Mary, quite contrary, how does your garden grow? Pretty good? Then
we need you at PVHMC to help patients keep their flowers watered and fresh.
No green-thumb necessary - just lend a hand.
If brightening someone’s day sounds like music to your ears, this
may be the job for you. Use your musical talents to play your instrument
of choice for patients and their visitors.
Work with cancer patients and their families on the Oncology unit and
at the Cancer Care Center.
PVHMC’s volunteer Chaplaincy service provides non-denominational
pastoral support and counseling to the entire hospital community. Volunteer
chaplains consist of both ordained and lay persons.
So much time, so little to do. Help our patients amuse themselves with
our hospitality cart. Visit with patients, bring them books, magazines,
word puzzles, etc. Feel free to offer their visitors a cup of coffee.
It's on the house.
Do you like to make people smile? Do you like dressing up in costume? Laughter
is the best medicine. Please let us know if you like "clowning around"!
