The Department of Academic Affairs at Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center offers a variety of rotations for Students, Residents and Fellows.

High-Risk OB Rotation

  • This 4 weeks Maternal and Child Health (MCH)/High Risk OB Rotation is available only in Spring (March – May).
  • This opportunity is limited to 2nd or 3rd year FM Residents.
  • Residents who are interested, please click here for a copy of the application.
  • Application Packet (Application form and all required documents) must be completed and submitted for request to be reviewed.
  • Application Packet must be submitted in Fall (September 1st – October 31st) to be considered for a Spring rotation.

Family Medicine Sub-Internship

Student & Resident Rotations

Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center offers many rotations to medical and physician assistant students attending the schools listed below. For rotation opportunities, please contact your institution’s clinical coordinator for assistance to set-up a rotation at PVHMC.

For Schools Not Listed Above:

  • Student is responsible for finding and securing Physician/Health Care Professional for desired rotation.
  • Student who have identified Physician/Health Care Professional that has agreed to precept this rotation should download the file here for application instructions.
  • Application Packet (Application form and all required documents) must be completed and submitted for request to be reviewed.
  • Student is responsible for working with Physician/Health Care Professional to ensure all sections of the application form is complete and signed.
  • Student is responsible for ensuring all required documents are included in application packet prior to submission.
  • Application packet must be submitted 4 months before desired start date.

Shadowing/Career Experience Observation

  • Applicant (Student) is responsible for finding and securing Physician/Health Care Professional to shadow.
  • Applicant (Student) who have identified Physician/Health Care Professional that has agreed to host this shadowing experience should download the file here for application instructions.
  • Application Packet (Application form and all required documents) must be completed and submitted for request to be reviewed.
  • Applicant (Student) is responsible for working with Physician/Health Care Professional to ensure all sections of the application form is complete and signed.
  • Applicant (Student) is responsible for ensuring all required documents are included in application packet prior to submission.
