Pharmacy School: Keck Graduate Institute (KGI)
Describe Yourself/About Me: I am local to the area and was born and raised in Fullerton, CA. While
my path to pharmacy may be unconventional, it is certainly not lacking
in passion. My unique healthcare experiences include previously working
as an EMT and as a patient transporter at a Level II trauma center in
South Orange County. From these positions, I discovered my passion for
pharmacy by observing a pharmacist’s role in the clinical setting
firsthand and learning about their vital contributions in patient care.
A residency at PVHMC will allow me to explore my interests in acute care
through unique elective experiences, as well as provide me with the strong
clinical and communication skills required to be a confident, competent,
and compassionate pharmacist. During my free time, you can catch me listening
to country music and attending live concerts, watching Angels baseball,
and making people laugh with my witty sense of humor.
Pharmacy School: University of Southern California
Describe Yourself/About Me: Hello! My name is Michelle Diab, and I was born and raised in Mission
Viejo, California. As a student at Mission Viejo High School, I had a
strong feeling that I wanted to be a pharmacist. I was curious about what
all the hundreds of bottles of medications on the shelves at my local
pharmacy were for, and I turned that curiosity into a challenge to go
to pharmacy school and learn about it! I am excited to be a part of Pomona
Valley Hospital Medical Center (PVHMC). This institution provides an environment
that emphasizes many things that are important to me: a teamwork environment,
a place where pharmacists are practicing at the top of their license,
and a culture that values a balance between working hard and wellness.
In my free time, I enjoy attending live concerts, riding my bicycle at
the beach, and spending time with loved ones.

Describe Yourself/About Me: I was born in Maryland but I grew up mostly in Korea and moved back into
the States for college. I completed my Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry
at UCLA. During pharmacy school, I interned at the Adventist Health White
Memorial inpatient pharmacy. PVHMC was my top choice because it offers
a variety of rotations ranging from critical care to pediatric/NICU, which
would provide strong pharmacy training for me and prepare myself to become
a well-rounded pharmacist. I am also interested in unique opportunities
provided by the program, such as transitions of care programs and women’s
services. In my spare time, I like to tour apartments, spend time with
family and friends, cook, watch k-dramas, and explore restaurants in my
neighborhoods.
Pharmacy School: Keck Graduate Institute (KGI)
Describe Yourself/About Me: My pharmacy background includes the completion of my PGY-1 at Antelope
Valley Medical Center and my Pharm.D. at Keck Graduate Institute. My PGY-1
had a heavy emphasis on acute care, giving me the opportunity to be a
valued pharmacist on the ICU rounding team. Through those experiences,
I found a strong passion to care for the critically ill population. I
decided on pursuing a PGY-2 to dive deeper into critically ill disease
states, to enhance my knowledge and ultimately benefit my patients. I
easily chose PVHMC because of the plethora of critical care experiences
and not to mention the supportive group of pharmacists I would be working
with along the way. Aside from my PGY-2, you will find me spending time
with my family and friends. I also ran cross-country and track and field
through college, so you might find me running a few miles before my shift
at the hospital.
