Darlene Scafiddi, MSN, RN, Promoted To Executive Vice President of Patient Care For Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center

POMONA, Calif. (January 13, 2021) – Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center (PVHMC) today announced Darlene Scafiddi, MSN, RN, has been promoted to executive vice president of patient care services. In her role, Scafiddi collaborates with nursing teams to ensure PVHMC is delivering the safe, high-quality care that has earned the hospital national recognition.

Celebrating more than 40 years of service at PVHMC, Scafiddi began her legacy as a nurse in the hospital’s medical/surgical unit in 1979. She also served in the telemetry, pediatric, intensive care, and cardiovascular units, where she developed and honed her skills in nursing and patient care.

Scafiddi has since held several leadership roles at the hospital, including administrative director of the Regional Kidney Stone Center from 1993 to 2000 and director of surgical services from 2000 to 2006. In 2006, she was promoted to the position of Vice President of Nursing and Patient Care Services.
