PVHMC Recognized as a Best Employer for Healthcare Professionals by Forbes

Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center (PVHMC) is proud to announce it has been named among the Best Employers for Healthcare Professionals by Forbes.

An accredited, 427-bed, not-for-profit hospital and medical center, PVHMC also encompasses The Robert and Beverly Lewis Family Cancer Care Center and five Pomona Valley Health Centers in Claremont, Chino Hills, La Verne and Pomona, providing comprehensive care across the region.

In recent years, PVHMC has grown not only in terms of services, but in staff as well. It currently employs more than 4,000 Associates, many of whom choose to grow their careers with us for decades. This year alone, there are 20 Associates celebrating 40, 45 and 50-year milestones.

The America’s Best Employers for Healthcare Professionals have been identified in an independent survey from a vast sample of over 17,000 US employees working for healthcare and social welfare providers employing at least 1,000 people within the US.

Participants were asked how likely they were to recommend their current employer to others and to rate it based on criteria including wages, working conditions and schedules, career advancement opportunities and safety. Survey respondents were also asked how likely they were to recommend a previous employer (within the last two years) and other healthcare organizations they knew through industry experience or through friends and family who had worked there. The survey has been conducted periodically over the course of the previous three years, which now have over 300,000 employer evaluations considered in the final ranking.

Ultimately, the 250 healthcare organizations with the highest scores made the inaugural list of America’s Best Employers For Healthcare Professionals.
