
During National Heart Month in February 2024, our chest pain coordinator, Tammy Freehling, RN, joined the Los Angeles County Fire Department Station 182’s Captain Brandon Comfort, Engineer Elmer Torrez; and Firefighter Tanner Osterkamp, to demonstrate Sidewalk/Hands-Only CPR and use of an automatic external defibrillator (AED). Learning these lifesaving measures is quick and easy. With nearly 75% of cardiac arrests occurring in the home, according to the American Heart Association, it is important for everyone to learn Sidewalk CPR and AED use.
