Welcome to Stroke Care at Stead Heart & Vascular Center, where compassionate and comprehensive care meets cutting-edge treatments for stroke victims. Our program is designed to offer timely intervention, personalized treatment and ongoing support to help patients navigate their stroke recovery journey with confidence and resilience.
A stroke is caused by the interruption of blood flow to the brain. This interruption results from either a blood clot blockage or a blood vessel's bursting. 85% of strokes are the result of a blocked blood vessel. To protect yourself and your loved ones, recognize the signs of a stroke, including sudden loss of balance or coordination, sudden loss of vision in one or both eyes, facial droop or an uneven smile, numbness, arm weakness, slurred speech, difficulty speaking or understanding. If you or someone you know experiences these symptoms, seek immediate medical attention by calling 911.
At Stead Heart & Vascular Center, we use advanced techniques to treat strokes quickly and effectively. Our skilled neurologists and radiologists use high-tech imaging to diagnose strokes accurately. They provide treatments like clot-dissolving medication or minimally invasive procedures to restore blood flow to the brain.
