Welcome to Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center's Stroke Diagnostic services, where we prioritize early detection and precise diagnosis to provide optimal care for our patients. Our comprehensive range of diagnostic procedures includes state-of-the-art techniques designed to assess and understand stroke risk factors and guide treatment plans effectively.
Stroke Ultrasound Screenings (non-invasive): Our non-invasive Stroke Ultrasound Screenings utilize advanced ultrasound technology to examine the blood vessels in the neck (carotid arteries) and the brain. This procedure helps identify any blockages or abnormalities in these crucial pathways, allowing our specialists to assess stroke risk and recommend appropriate interventions.
Vascular Lab (non-invasive): In our Vascular Lab, we conduct non-invasive tests to evaluate blood flow and detect any vascular conditions that may contribute to stroke risk. Using sophisticated equipment and techniques, our skilled technicians and physicians can assess the health of your blood vessels and provide insights into potential preventive measures or treatment options.
Cerebral Angiography: Cerebral Angiography is a specialized imaging procedure that allows for detailed visualization of blood vessels in the brain. By injecting contrast dye into the blood vessels and capturing X-ray images, our medical team can identify blockages, aneurysms, or other abnormalities that may require intervention to reduce stroke risk and ensure optimal brain health.
Transcranial Doppler (non-imaging): Transcranial Doppler is a non-imaging technique that uses sound waves to assess blood flow in the brain's arteries. This painless and non-invasive procedure helps our specialists evaluate circulation, detect abnormalities such as clots or narrowed vessels, and determine the appropriate course of action to manage stroke risk factors effectively.
Our team of experts is dedicated to providing thorough assessments and personalized care throughout your stroke prevention and treatment journey. We collaborate across disciplines to ensure timely and accurate diagnoses, empowering you to make informed decisions about your health and well-being.
