Maternity Visitation

Promotion of our Family Centered Care philosophy while considering patient care, safety, comfort, security and infection control parameters is our priority. The birthing individual will determine who and when they want visitors, under the following guidelines:

LDRP Visitation Guidelines

  • One visitor is allowed to stay with the patient in triage.

Labor

  • Patients in labor are allowed 24-hour visitation.
  • No more than three visitors at a time, not including siblings.
  • A certified doula (proof of certification or training required) may be part of the labor support team.

Postpartum

  • One support person is allowed to stay overnight with the patient.
  • Visiting hours are from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
  • No more than three visitors at a time, not including siblings.
  • Visitors under the age of 14 are limited to the patient’s children only and must be accompanied by an adult.

Special Circumstances

  • Visitation exceptions may be made based on medical necessity or special circumstances and must be approved by LDRP Leadership.
