Having a baby is one of life’s most exciting and transformative moments. Our expert and compassionate team partners with you to provide a safe, supportive, and personalized birth experience. From preparing for your hospital stay to understanding triage, patient safety, and labor support, we are here to guide you every step of the way.
Our multidisciplinary team provides around-the-clock care to support you at every stage of labor. Board-certified OB/GYNs, in-house laborists, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, labor and delivery nurses, and obstetric surgical support staff work together to ensure your safety and comfort. You are also welcome to include a personal doula for additional emotional and physical support throughout your birth experience.

Our private birthing suites provide a relaxing, family-centered environment. Each suite includes a private bathroom, sleeping accommodations for family members, in-room health education resources, and meal service. Mothers can select from a comfort menu during labor and enjoy a celebration meal after delivery. Aromatherapy is also available to create a calming atmosphere.

We offer a variety of pain management options to help you feel comfortable and supported throughout labor.
Patients planning a vaginal birth after cesarean receive individualized care with continuous monitoring and access to advanced maternal and neonatal support. Our experienced obstetric team carefully evaluates eligibility and prioritizes safety for both mother and baby throughout labor and delivery.
Cesarean deliveries are performed when medically necessary, including in urgent or emergency situations, and are supported by skilled obstetric surgeons, anesthesiologists, and specialized nursing teams. PVHMC maintains a low cesarean delivery rate through evidence-based labor management while ensuring rapid surgical readiness when intervention is required to protect the health of the mother and baby.
The first hour after birth, often called the Golden Hour, is a critical time for bonding and early newborn stabilization. During this period, specialized nurses support immediate skin-to-skin contact, early breastfeeding, and a gentle transition from womb to world. When clinically appropriate, we prioritize uninterrupted skin-to-skin contact to promote breastfeeding success, support temperature and glucose regulation, and strengthen the parent-child bond.
Your safety and your baby’s well-being are at the heart of everything we do. Our team follows strict infection-control measures, continuously monitors both the mother and the baby, and maintains readiness for any emergency through annual simulation training. With highly trained staff and state-of-the-art equipment available 24/7, you can focus on welcoming your baby with confidence and peace of mind.

Our Welcome Walls offer a special space for families to celebrate and commemorate their baby's arrival. Thoughtfully designed as a photo backdrop, these walls help capture the excitement, anticipation, and joy surrounding this meaningful milestone. Located on both the Labor and Delivery floor and the Postpartum floor, each Welcome Wall reflects a different stage of your journey, from the moments leading up to birth to the first days spent together as a growing family.
We encourage parents to take photos before and after delivery to mark this unforgettable experience. The Welcome Wall is one of the many ways we celebrate your journey into parenthood. Families are invited to share their photos on social media and tag our hospital using #PVHMCBaby, allowing us to celebrate alongside you.
