Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center Raises More Than $65,000

At 24th Annual Heartbeat Gala

Event Had Guests Rocking to the Beat While Raising Funds to Support the Stead Heart and Vascular Center Endowment Fund

POMONA, Calif., March 13, 2018 — More than 500 guests joined Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center (PVHMC) Foundation for the 24th annual Heartbeat Gala at the Doubletree Hotel in Ontario on March 3 and raised more than $65,000 to support the Hospital’s Stead Heart and Vascular Center. The annual event has raised over $2.4 million to support the nationally recognized center of excellence.

The evening kicked off with a champagne reception and silent auction before dinner. La Verne Mayor Don Kendrick chaired the event and local Pomona band THE ANSWER provided musical entertainment for the evening.

“The support we receive from Heartbeat Gala allows us to continually evolve and expand our services,” said Richard E. Yochum, FACHE, president/CEO. “This event helps to ensure that we have state-of-the-art technology so our patients have the highest quality heart and vascular care close to home. I am extremely proud of all our Associates who provide the expert level of care that saves lives every day.”
