An Important Message for Our Associates and Community from Richard E. Yochum, FACHE, President and CEO

Over this past weekend, we witnessed people across the nation kneel, stand and protest in unity for victims of social injustice. Here in Pomona and across the region, thousands gathered peacefully to make their voices heard – and perhaps you were one of them. These moments call us to come together to support equality and kindness for all.
Situated in the heart of the Pomona Valley, our hospital is proud to serve a community that is rich in diversity with people of all ethnicities, genders, religions and ideologies.

As healthcare professionals, we are called to provide equitable, lifesaving care and treatment for anyone who comes through our doors – regardless of a person’s background. We are committed to improving the physical, mental and emotional health and well-being of our community, especially to our most vulnerable populations. This ideology has been embedded into our mission, vision and values for more than a century.

As our community continues to gather to honor the memory of George Floyd and others who may have lost their lives to injustice, please remember that Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center will always stand against racism, inequality and injustice. We stand together with our community.
