Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center Urges Community to Give the Gift of Life Amidst Critical Blood Shortage

Donate Today

This holiday, you have the ability to give a gift more precious than anything on an Amazon wish list – the gift of life.

There is a critical need for blood across the nation, including here at Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center and other hospitals in our region. While the American Red Cross has been in the midst of a shortage since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, its supply is currently at its lowest in more than a decade.

Our hospital relies on blood supplies from our partners at the American Red Cross to ensure that patients in critical condition, such as those who are transported to our Trauma Center with life-threatening injuries, who undergo emergent cardiovascular procedures, delivering mothers and cancer patients, are given the blood they need to survive.

Your donation of blood or platelets can save the lives of up to three people.

We strongly urge all healthy individuals to make a blood or platelet donation as soon as possible.
