Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center has both a Junior Volunteer Program
for high school students and a College Volunteer Program for college students.

High School Students
Are you a high school student considering a future in the medical field?
Do you enjoy helping others and learning new things? Pomona Valley Hospital’s
Junior Volunteer Program may just be the place for you to make new friends,
and make a difference. If accepted as a Junior Volunteer, you will be
assigned a 3-hour shift once per week and must commit to volunteer a minimum
of 1 year.
Your interest in the Junior Volunteer Program at Pomona Valley Hospital
Medical Center is greatly appreciated. To be considered for acceptance
into the program, you must be a high school student who is currently in
the 9th, 10th, or 11th grade. Applications are only offered and accepted
twice per year.
We have reached the maximum number of application requests at this time.
Please return to this web page on July 5th to request an application for
the Fall session. Not all requests will be accepted. The application request
will be removed when the maximum number of submissions is reached.
The College Volunteer Program at Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center
is designed to provide students pursuing a medically related career in
college with an opportunity to gain first hand experience in a hospital
environment. Student volunteers provide needed assistance to the medical,
nursing, and ancillary staff as well as to our patients and their families.
The College Volunteer Program is not meant for the purpose of job/career
training, nor is it meant to lead to paid employment at PVHMC.
Who is Eligible:
Students interested in a medically related career that have completed at
least 1 semester of college and are at least 18 years old may apply for

Not all requests will be accepted. This link will be disabled when the

If accepted as a Volunteer, you will be assigned to a four-hour shift once
per week and must commit to complete a minimum of 100 hours of service.
