PVHMC to Host Free Drive-Thru Flu Vaccination Clinic

It’s not too late to get your flu shot and be protected throughout the 2020-21 flu season!

To increase access to free flu shots in our community, Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center, in partnership with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, is hosting its third free drive-thru flu shot clinic on Saturday, December 12 2020.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), it takes about two weeks after receiving a flu shot for antibodies to build up and provide protection against flu virus infection. Be sure that you and your loved ones get a flu shot as soon as possible to reduce the risk of contracting and spreading the flu, if you must travel or gather over the Thanksgiving holiday. However, the CDC recommends against traveling and gathering with people outside of your household. Learn more about low-risk guidelineshere.
