Maternity Visitation
Promotion of our Family Centered Care philosophy while considering patient
care, safety, comfort, security and infection control parameters is our
priority. The birthing individual will determine who and when they want
visitors, under the following guidelines:
- Patients in labor are allowed 24-hour visitation
- Postpartum visiting hours are from 10 am - 8 pm
- One support person may stay overnight with the patient in the postpartum room
- Visitors under the age of 12 are limited to the patient’s children,
only, and must be accompanied by an adult other than the patient at all times
- LDRP Triage: one visitor may stay with the patient while in triage
- A doula who can provide evidence of certification or training may also
be part of the labor support team
- Visitation exceptions may be made based on medical necessity and must be
approved by the nursing leadership team in LDRP
