The SMC is proud to provide team doctors to five local high schools. These physicians work closely with each school's coaching staff and athletic trainer to provide pre-participation physicals before the season begins, as well as, event coverage and support during the season at both home and away games.

Each year the SMC organizes and provides group pre-participation exams for five local high schools through the "$$$ for Physicals" fundraiser program. The SMC physicians donate their time, giving the proceeds earned from the physicals back to the school's athletic department. Athletes who clear the exam meet the yearly CIF requirement to participate in school sports. Started in 2006, the Sports Medicine Center's "$$$ For Physicals" program has raised over $165,000 for our local schools.
The SMC often participates in the sponsorship and planning of local sporting events including the annual Holiday Half Marathon and 5K Run, the Modern Pentathlon and more.
Education for athletes, coaches, athletic trainers, and parents is available through the SMC Speakers Bureau. SMC Physicians and Physical Therapists often speak to school and community groups on a variety of topics ranging from injury prevention training, sports performance and nutrition, to injury identification, treatment, and management.
