About the Program

Mission

To produce community-focused family physician leaders with the essential skills to provide exceptional care in a variety of settings. We recruit and train physicians from diverse backgrounds to meet the needs of our community through high quality education in a supportive and inclusive environment.

  • Full spectrum training including obstetrics and maternal child health; from birth to death, outpatient to inpatient, street medicine to home based or skilled nursing care.
  • Emphasizing the importance of well-being
  • Teaching the foundations of evidence-based medicine, care coordination and inter-professional team based care.
  • Develop and nurture residents personal interests:
    • We offer several tracks to focus on resident physician interests.
    • Specialty Gynecology, Maternal Child Health, MSK and outpatient procedure clinics
    • Elective experiences and opportunities
    • Encourage participation in scholarly activity by funding conference attendance.
