About Us

Our mission is to serve our ethnically and economically diverse communities and prepare our residents to be well-rounded physicians and community advocates.

Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center (PVHMC) is a 412-bed community hospital located 30 miles east of Los Angeles. The surrounding community is rich with ethnic diversity allowing a multifaceted cultural experience. We are a short drive away from the mountains, beaches, amusement parks and some of the best food southern California has to offer.

We are ACGME sponsored and are fortunate to enjoy access to all of the advanced services available at this regional medical center and also to share experiences with visiting learners. Our program serves as a resource to promote a healthy lifestyle for underserved and minority communities. Our residents have rotations and experiences within the hospital and with our attendings at their clinics around the community.

We are the perfect size to promote learning, create life-long relationships and ensure adequate coverage and care for our patients. For more information on how to get involved with our program as a visiting medical student, applying to a Sub-internship, or preparing for the MATCH application season, take a look at our links below and explore the tabs for our curriculum, specialty tracks, and learn a little more about our residents and faculty.
